Day 01: BANGKOK-AYUTHAYA -SUKHOTHAI lunch/Dinner
07:00 pm. Pick up from your hotel in Bangkok and transfer by private comfortable air condition minibus to Ayuthaya, the first stop is to visit Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, was first used by the royal court as a summer retreat in the 17th century. Originally built by King Prasat Thong in 1632, Across the river from the Palace is Wat Niwet Thamprawat, the only Neo-Gothic monastery in Thailand and is located on an island in the Chao Phraya River, afterwards, hop on to private longtail boat and enjoy the fascinating scenery along the River, hop off at local pier in Ayuthaya, continue transfer by our private minibus to visit the ancient town and world heritage site, visit the three ancient pagodas at Wat Phra Sri Sanpetch situated on the city island in Ayutthaya’s World Heritage Park. This monastery was the most important temple of Ayutthaya and situated within the Grand Palace Grounds. It served as a model for the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok, after visit Wat Phra Sri Sanpetch, we transfer to local restaurant for lunch (Thai cuisine) after refreshment, transfer to visit Wat Mahathat The well known image of the Head of the Buddha, with tree trunk and roots growing around it. The temple is believed to be built during the 14th century A.D. (the early Ayutthaya period). The last stop is to visit Wat Chaiwatthanaram, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, outside Ayutthaya island. The temple was constructed in 1630 by the king Prasat Thong.
15:00 (approximate) Depart from Ayuthaya in late afternoon and long transfer to Sukhothai (distance 365 kms, transfer time about 3 ½ -4 hrs) Drop off at your hotel in evening, check in, at leisure

Day 02: SUKHOTHAI –LAMPANG - CHIANG MAI Breakfast/lunch/Dinner

08:00 Check out and transfer to visit Sukhothai Historical park, visit the famous ruin of this first capital of Thailand (1257-1379), the highlight is Wat Mahathat, Wat Sasi and Wat Sri Sawai and Wat Sri chum, continue to Lampang (distance 191 kms-about 2 hrs), we stop visit Wat Phrathat Lampang Luang in Lampang
Lunch will be provided at local restaurant, after refreshment, continue trip to Chiang Mai (92 kms, about 1 hrs drive), upon arrival in Chiang Mai, we transfer to visit the wholesales flower and fruits market before transfer to your hotel. Check in at your hotel (complimentary chilled drinks served at check in area), enjoying rest of day at hotel swimming pool.
Evening; take complimentary hotel’s shuttle tuk tuk to Chiang Mai night market for dinner or shopping (own arrangement),

Day 03 Chiang Mai -Mae Tang -Doi Mae Salong Breakfast/lunch/Dinner
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Mae Tang valley (about 1 hrs), visit Thai elephant home and enjoy 2 hours play and feed food to the baby elephants, lunch will be provided at local restaurant, after refreshment continue transfer to explore Doi Mae Salong, stop visit original Hilltribe villages as well as visit tea plantation, drop off at your hotel in evening, check in and enjoy dinner with the beautiful sunset view at hotel restaurant

Day04: Doi Mae Salong -Golden Triangle -Chiang Khong Breakfast/lunch/Dinner

09:00 After breakfast, check out and transfer to visit view point at Golden Triangle, small opium house museum and temples in Chiang Sean town, lunch will be provided at local restaurant, after refreshment, we transfer to Chiang Khong and drop off at your hotel in late afternoon, at leisure

Day 05: CHIANG KHONG –HUAY XAI - PAK BENG (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
08:00 after breakfast, check out and transfer to Thailand & Laos friendship bridge and drop off at Thai immigration.
09:30 am The Luang Say boat leaves Houei Sai pier at 9.30am (please be at Lao immigration office no later than 8.30) for a cruise down the Mekong River to Pakbeng.
After completing Thai immigration formalities, our Luang Say representative will help you get a shuttle bus to cross the bridge and go to Lao immigration.
Our Luangsay staff in Houei Say (Houayxay) will then welcome you to Laos and help with Lao immigration formalities.
We will then transfer everyone to the Luangsay cruise boat, which is parked at the slow boat pier in Houei Say (about 1 kilometer out of the town center). Every slow boat docks here from huge Chinese cargo boats, to small cross-river ferries, to long low-slung Lao passenger boats and many more.
After one-hour journeying along the river, the boat stops at a traditional village. This is a chance to observe rural life along the Mekong and witness the daily life of ethnic minorities and their talented craftsmanship.
12h30 Lunch is served on board in a buffet style with a main course from Laos’ main culinary delights as well as a choice of fish and meat dishes.
16h00 The river cruise arrives at Luang Say Lodge near Pakbeng before sunset, giving plenty of time to refresh, enjoy the scenery of the river and admire the surrounding nature. A Laotian dinner is served on the open air terrace overlooking the Mekong River.
On the left bank of the river, the Luang Say Lodge is backed by mountainous jungle. The large pavilions of solid teak and rosewood all have beautiful vistas looking out over the Mekong river and the mountains beyond. The traditional Laotian architecture provides accommodation of comfort and character, each bedroom equipped with high ceiling mosquito nets, electric fans and a large private bathroom with hot shower and western style toilet.
The Luang Say Lodge sits peacefully above the Mekong River, blending artfully into the natural environment through careful landscaping, raised platforms and indigenous styling. It features 20 large pavilions, each elegantly furnished in dark toned wood and white fabrics, and offering stunning panoramic views on three sides of the Mekong.
BUNGALOWS Built in 1998, the Luang Say Lodge is situated on four hectares of land with a traditional Laotian architectural design of 20 large bungalows, each with large openair windows looking out over the Mekong River and mountains.
Each room is fitted with comfortable beds, mosquito nets, electric mosquito coils, a ceiling fan and private bathrooms. Your spacious bathroom has a hot shower and a western style toilet.
We have wooden walkways through our lovely gardens, linking all the rooms to the central restaurant and bar area, through our lovely gardens.
Our guests often fall under the charm of this place and wish to stay more than one night. If you like to do so, you may want to inquire about it in advance, it can often be arranged.
Day 06: PAK BENG –PAK OU - ROCK CAVE- LUANG PRABANG (Breakfast/Lunch)
0700 Mornings are special times for breakfast at Luang Say Lodge with stunning sights of the peaceful neighboring mountains, often shrouded in mist, while a full breakfast is served on the expansive teak terrace.
08:00 The cruise departs for another day of nature discovery along the legendary river with two stops planned along the way to Luang Prabang.
10h30 A few hours into the day after enjoying the sights of granite cliffs and sparkling sandy shores, the river boat makes a stop to visit the hill tribe village of Baw, where you can watch the traditional process of making Lao whiskey.
12h30 Lunch is served on board in a buffet style with a main course from Laos’ cuisine. A different choice of fish and meat dishes than on the first day is prepared for a greater culinary experience.
15h30 Opposite the mouth of the Nam Ou River, near Pak Ou village, the cruise stops to visit the Tam Thing cave. Translated as Rock Cave, it is famous for housing over 2,500 Buddha statues of all sizes and for being a place of pilgrimage for locals.
17h00 Following a day along the wide Mekong river, with beautiful sceneries of mountains, wild nature, local life and delicious food, the cruise arrives at Luang Prabang, the former royal capital of Laos.
